When booking with MallorcaVillas.biz (hereafter MV) the customer agrees to the Terms and Conditions which are detailed below:
1 .- TO BOOK
Reservations should be made in writing via e-mail or fax. MV will confirm the reservation in the same manner. The client must not exceed the number of people and animals which have been confirmed in the reservation. The time of entry to the property will be no earlier than 15.00H and leaving on day of departure no later than 10.30H.
2 .- RESERVATION CONFIRMATION
To confirm a booking we will require payment in advance of 20% - 30% of the total booking amount (depending on the property) . The balance, as detailed in the booking confirmation shall be paid to the homeowner or a representative of MV at the time of handing over the keys.
3 .- RESPONSIBILITIES
The descriptions, photos and other information published in MV are consistent with the characteristics of each property at the time of publication on our website. Also MV is committed to update such information as regularly possible, however all information and photos are subject to change without notice. MV is not responsible for any furniture or equipment changes that may occur between the booking confirmation and entry into the property by the client.
MV is not responsible for any changes in case of force majeure such as strikes, war, earthquakes, power cuts or floods, storms, works near the property and other circumstances not foreseen at the time of booking. MV is not responsible for the malfunction of electrical equipment, heating, air conditioning, pools, etc. If the client detects a malfunction they should contact the owner or MV as soon as possible so the problem can be solved quickly, taking into account the need for time between detection of the problem and its solution. This is why MV is unable to pay or be liable for any claims for reasons of malfunction after departure.
If for external reasons the property booked could not be used, may offer another property of equal or greater quality than originally contracted. If the customer does not agree to such an alternative then payment and cancellation conditions prevail as detailed in Section 5. If MV is unable to offer an alternative, the customer will be refunded the amount minus the prepaid reservation confirmation.
The use of the property, including all interior objects such as appliances, furniture, etc and outside objects such as pool, barbecue, terrace furnishings etc. is the responsibility of the client.
MV is not responsible for any accidents that may occur during the stay.
MV is not responsible for any damage or malfunction of equipment of the contracted property as these depend on the owner.
All claims must be submitted in writing to the owner or MMV
4 .- FAULT / BREAKS
The client undertakes to respect both property and all objects that are in it. In case of breakage or damage the customer must contact the landlord or MV no later than 24 hours from the time of such damage or breakage so that it can be repaired. Any breakage or damage is the responsibility of the client may be claimed from the deposit.
5 .- CANCELLATIONS / CHANGES
All cancellations of reservations must be submitted in writing (via e-mail or fax) to MV as quickly as possible.
In case of cancellations submitted in writing, the following conditions prevail:
More than 90 days: refund of 50% of the prepayment.
Between 90 and 30 days: 20% refund of the prepayment.
Between 30 and 15 days: 0% return of the prepayment.
Less than 15 days or default: the client must pay the total booking on presentation of invoice.
We strongly recommend that clients take out an insurance policy to protect them against this liability.
For all booking cancellations or changes after the signing of the contract and changes of booking conditions such as change of dates, change of number of people, etc.. MV charges 60 euros for administration costs.
6 .- MODIFICATIONS / CANCELLATIONS BY MV
The following are grounds for cancellation of the contract by MV:
a.- Breaks or faults due to misuse by the client or his companions.
b.- Noises or inconvenience to neighbours or others.
c.- Breaking of the rules of the property that have been imposed by the owner, including ie. pool schedules, use of air conditioning, etc..
d.- Failure by the client to pay the balance due at the time of handing over the keys, which will result in loss of any deposit previously paid. In this case the client loses the prepayment confirmation.
7 .- ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Services such as cleaning and change of sheets and towels contracted when booking a property will be given by the owner.
In the event that the client uses additional services offered by MV such as airline tickets, car rental or insurance; the terms of contract prevailing are those of the companies responsible for giving such services. MV only provides links or makes reservations for rental cars to provide better service to its customers..
